●Our Pediatric Acupuncture Treatment
For children, we do not insert needles into the body.
Instead, we use a gentle technique that lightly stimulates the skin.
This method is called Shōnishin (pediatric acupuncture).
It involves softly stroking areas such as the arms, legs, neck and shoulders, back, lower back, abdomen, and chest.
Appropriate and gentle stimulation is believed to influence the affected areas as well as the central nervous system
(including the autonomic nervous system and hormones),
thereby activating the child’s natural healing ability.
